SHHC is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our Population Health team. The MA will play a key role in supporting quality initiatives, patient outreach, care coordination, and clinical operations. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, pre-visit planning, participating in huddles, managing patient care gaps, and collaborating with the care team to ensure high-quality services. This position reports to both Squirrel Hill and Brentwood office locations.

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule follow-up appointments, immunizations, and in-house testing.
Conduct pre-visit planning and identify gaps in care.
Participate in daily huddles and share key patient data.
Outreach patients for preventive screenings and track progress.
Manage inbox tasks, relay lab results, and address patient inquiries.
Collaborate with providers, RNs, and other SHHC teams to support care plans.

Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant (certification preferred).
Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT coding.
Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
CPR certification required.
Bilingual skills preferred.
